Alienware Steam Machine..

Good idea but at present don't touch them b/c at the mo it runs Steam operating system which is Linux-based so reducing what games you can play so alot less AAA games won't run on it and from what i reading its an i3 and you can install windows but you do that yourself..

For a newb to PC gaming this will do you but at 600 euro a pop you are better building your own and be able to play a much broader list of games...

When I eventually move and get a TV, I wouldn't mind building one for a nice gaming/HTPC.

Wouldn't worry about the non-linux supported games myself. SteamOS still has the in-home streaming function so you can broadcast games from your usual gaming rig on the home network out through the Steam Machine.
